Terms of Use

Last updated: 10 June 2026

These terms govern your use of Lamp Maker (the “Service”), a browser-based tool for designing parametric lampshade models and exporting them as STL files. By using the Service or downloading any file from it, you agree to these terms.

1. Personal, non-commercial use only

Models you create and download with Lamp Maker are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use only. This means you may design, download, and 3D-print lampshades for yourself, as gifts, or for private use.

You may not, without prior written permission:

2. No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that generated models are fit for any particular purpose, dimensionally accurate, structurally sound, or safe to print or use. 3D printing and the assembly of electrical lighting components carry inherent risks — you are solely responsible for verifying your designs, your materials, and the safe use of any lamp hardware (including LED kits and mains electrical components).

3. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Service or any object you produce from it, including damage to printers, materials, property, or injury. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

4. Intellectual property

The Service, its design, and its underlying code are owned by the operator of Lamp Maker. These terms grant you a licence to use the outputs as described in Section 1; they do not transfer ownership of the Service itself.

5. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

6. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
